“Staring into the Sun” Publication

Staring into the Sun is a document that collects some writings by N.T. Wright and C.S. Lewis, authors who have helped explain the intricacies of a worldview that is shared by many in the world.

The publication itself reframes a common and sometimes argumentative debate about God, desires, faith, religious world views, humanity, and our innate desire to want something better for ourselves and for the world. The goal is to start an actual dialogue without pointing any fingers, and instead find our commonalities in what makes us humans so simple, and yet so complicated and intricately designed, all at the same time. It is a search to understand individual identity through the complexity of humanity.

In relationship to the content, the publication is imbued with the tension between history and relevance, utilizing more modern design elements of type and graphics placed upon a more classical typeset structure. This creates the framework for what type of conversation needs to happen.
